For organizations

Care designed around your organization

Two paths for public and private organizations: institutional care, when your organization needs care services tailored to it, and employee care, a benefit that helps your team handle family responsibilities. We design every proposal with you, and the scope goes into the contract.

Two paths

Two paths, one way of working

Pick the path that fits your situation. Either way, we start by understanding what your organization needs.

Institutional care

For public and private organizations that need care services tailored to them. Every proposal starts from what your organization needs and can cover these components.

Who it's for

  • Public institutions
  • Private companies
  • Nonprofits
  • Community programs
A woman with a clipboard talks with a man in an office with plants.

What the proposal can include

  • Staff selection and preparation

The profile you need, how people are chosen and what preparation they receive. Training can draw on Sertify, Serena's online training platform.

  • Day-to-day coordination

Who coordinates the daily work, through which channel, and how changes get handled.

  • Shift coverage

Schedules, shifts and how an absence is handled, agreed on from the start.

  • Supervision

Who supervises the service, how and how often, defined with your organization.

  • Protocols

Working guidelines for the service, aligned with your organization's own rules.

  • Follow-up and reporting

What gets measured, how often, and in what format your organization receives the information.

Each component is optional and adapted to your organization. Which parts Serena provides, which parts your organization handles, and with what staff, is put in writing in the contract.

How we build the proposal

  1. Discovery

We talk with your team about the service you need: who receives care, schedules, spaces, and what works or is missing today.

  2. Design

Together we define the scope: profiles, shifts, coordination, supervision, protocols and follow-up.

  3. Proposal

We send you a written proposal. Whatever we agree on goes into the contract.

  4. Ongoing support

We follow up as agreed and review adjustments with your organization.

Employee care

A benefit that helps your people handle family responsibilities—kids, older adults, pets or the home—with support from care professionals. Your organization offers the benefit, and we design it with you.

Who it's for

  • Private companies
  • Public institutions
  • Nonprofits
  • Teams with shifts or long hours

What the proposal can include

  • All four categories in the app

Kids, older adults, pets and home cleaning: your organization chooses what to include.

  • Older adults, too

Care isn't only about children: the benefit can include the older adults in each family.

  • Close to home

In the app, people search by category and area. During discovery we check availability in the areas where your team lives.

  • Clear rules

Who can use the benefit, what your organization covers and how it's activated: we define it with you.

  • Your team's privacy

We agree on what information your organization receives, keeping personal data to a minimum.

  • Follow-up

How and how often we review the benefit's use with your organization.

For example, through the Serena app: each person searches by category and area, compares profiles and books the service. The details are agreed with your organization.

How we build the proposal

  1. Discovery

We get to know your team: work schedules, where people live and what care responsibilities they have, using general questions and no health information.

  2. Design

We define who can use the benefit, which categories it includes, what your organization covers and how it's activated.

  3. Proposal

We send you a written proposal, ready to review with your HR team.

  4. Ongoing support

We review with your organization how the benefit is being used and adjust it as agreed.

Value for each group

One proposal, four perspectives

A care proposal has to work for everyone it touches. Here's what we aim for with each group.

Pick one to see what we aim for.

Your organization: continuity and visibility

A service that runs steadily, and an organization that knows how it's going.

In the proposal

  • Schedules, shifts and what to do when someone is absent, agreed on from the start.
  • Follow-up and reports at the frequency and in the format you agree on.
  • A clear channel to review adjustments.

Your employees: support

The people on your team get support with their care responsibilities.

In the proposal

  • Options for kids, older adults, pets and the home.
  • Search by area, to find options close to home.
  • Benefit rules that are easy to understand.

Families: support along the way

Families know who's giving care, how it's coordinated and who to talk to.

In the proposal

  • Clear information about the service from day one.
  • When the service is coordinated in the Serena app: profiles with experience, an intro video and reviews, plus chat with the care professional.
  • A channel to share feedback and ask for changes.

The person receiving care: care that fits their needs

Each person gets companionship and help with daily activities, matched to what they need.

In the proposal

  • Staff with the profile and preparation the proposal defines.
  • Working protocols agreed with your organization.
  • Only the personal data that's needed, handled with care.

What a guide for employers recommends

Employees tend to prefer care options close to where they live, and support shouldn't stop at children: it should also include older adults who need care. The guide recommends starting with an assessment of care needs.

That's why every proposal starts with discovery, and the employee benefit can include older adults.

Frequently asked questions

Before we talk

If your question isn't here, send it to us through the proposal form.

Can you prepare a proposal for a public institution?

Yes. The proposal is adapted to the type of organization and its procurement procedures. Tell us what you need and how your institution contracts services.

Who's responsible for staff and supervision?

It depends on what your organization needs. When we design the proposal, we define with you who selects the staff, who supervises the service and how both sides coordinate, and all of it is put in writing.

How is the service measured?

With the indicators and reports we agree on with your organization: what gets measured, how often, and in what format you receive the information.

What happens with personal data?

The proposal sets out what data is shared and with whom, keeping it to the minimum needed and in line with Costa Rica's personal data protection law (Ley 8968). We don't ask for health information or details about minors on this site, and the form data is used to answer your request.

Read the privacy notice

Can the employee benefit include older adults?

Yes. The benefit can cover the four categories in the Serena app—kids, older adults, pets and home cleaning—depending on what your organization chooses to include.

Which parts of the country?

Write to us with the areas you need. During discovery, we review availability for your organization.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the scope we define together. The cost is laid out in the proposal.
