Software for care and cleaning companies

Shifts in a spreadsheet, updates in chats, reports in your head. We're building one place to run your operation.

A subscription platform for small care and cleaning companies that want to organize their staff and grow. It's in development: in the demo we'll show you where it stands today and listen to how your team works.

What we want to solve

What eats up your time today, and how we're designing for it

We started from the everyday problems of running a care or cleaning company. For each one, here's what we're aiming for. None of these features are available yet, and each one shows its status.

  • In development

    Staff organization

    Today

Each person's availability lives in notes, chats and the coordinator's memory.

    What we're designing

One record of your team: who works, which days, and on what kind of service.

  • In development

    Service assignment

    Today

Every new request means checking by hand who's free and who knows the job.

    What we're designing

See your team's availability and assign each service to the right person from a single view.

  • In development

    Attendance tracking

    Today

Confirming who showed up for each shift depends on scattered messages.

    What we're designing

Keep an orderly attendance record for every shift.

  • In development

    Alerts and replacement management

    Today

When someone can't make it, the phone chain starts.

    What we're designing

Flag a shift as soon as it's uncovered and show who on your team is free to cover it.

  • In development

    Follow-up

    Today

To know how a service is going, someone has to call or text.

    What we're designing

The status of every service in one place: scheduled, covered or pending.

  • In development

    Communication

    Today

Important updates get lost in personal group chats.

    What we're designing

Messages with your team tied to each service, so nothing falls through the cracks.

  • In development

    Reports

    Today

Putting together the monthly summary means hours in a spreadsheet.

    What we're designing

Service and staffing indicators so you can decide with data.

  • Something missing from this list?

Tell us what takes the most effort today. The demo is a conversation, too.

Who it's for

For small companies that juggle people, schedules and homes

We're designing it for teams that run their operation today on spreadsheets, phone calls and group chats.

  • Small care companies

They coordinate professionals who support kids, older adults or pets in different homes.

  • Home cleaning companies

Every week they split services among their staff, across several homes and schedules.

  • Independent teams that grew

They started with a few people and now run more shifts than a group chat can handle.

Why Serena

We're building it from inside the care world

Serena didn't start as a software company. It started by connecting families with care professionals.

  • We know day-to-day care

Since 2019, Serena has connected families in Costa Rica with care professionals. Today its app covers child care, care for older adults, pet care and home cleaning.

  • Training with Sertify

Sertify, Serena's online training platform, offers programs such as Super Niñera and Super Housekeeper. Preparing staff is part of how we think about running a care operation.

  • A demo that's a conversation

We're building the platform and want to do it by listening to companies in the field. You tell us how you work; we show you where things stand.

Common questions

Before you request a demo

Is the software available yet?

Not yet. We're building the platform, and every feature on this page is marked “In development.” In the demo we'll show you where it stands and talk about what your team needs.

How much does it cost?

It will be a subscription platform, but we haven't published plans or prices yet. In the demo we'll talk through the options for a team your size.

What kind of company is it for?

Small care companies (child care, older adults or pets) and home cleaning companies that want to organize their staff and grow.

Is this the same as the Serena app?

No. The Serena app connects families with care professionals. This software is for care and cleaning companies to organize their own team.

What's the demo like?

It's a conversation with the Serena team: you tell us how you run your operation today, and we show you how far the platform has come. We'll get back to you as soon as we can, through the channel you choose, to set it up.

What should I include in the form?

Just your contact details and a few general facts about your company, like the services you offer and your team size. For privacy, please don't include health details or information about the people your team supports.
